Heroes of Might and Magic: The Card Game — Tabletop Simulator Reveal!

Good day, heroes!
The launch of our Heroes of Might and Magic: The Card Game campaign on Gamefound is drawing near, and we’re just as excited as you are. Over the past months, we’ve been working hard to share updates, gather your feedback, and make relevant adjustments. Just recently, we removed the dice mechanics from the game and asked you about your preferred card layout. You can read about both of these changes in our Gamefound update number 7. They are now being implemented so that you’ll see the polished, final version when the campaign page goes live.

But aesthetics and rules tweaks are only part of the journey. Many of you have been asking us consistently: How does the game actually play? We’ve posted some updates and blogs about it, but we know reading bit by bit and searching for them could be confusing. So… today we’ve got something special for you.

It’s our pleasure to reveal a fully playable digital version of Heroes of Might and Magic: The Card Game, available right now on your PC through Tabletop Simulator (TTS)!
You can get the TTS mod on Steam!

What is TTS?

For those unfamiliar, Tabletop Simulator (TTS) is a digital software resembling a game that allows you to emulate board games and even create custom scenarios. It’s a fantastic way to explore a game before owning a physical copy, practice strategies, or experiment with different decks.
Everything we release on the TTS Workshop is 100% free, and we never charge for our TTS mods. You can use them to learn the rules, practice, or simply play around with different setups. We encourage rulebook-based play for the “real” experience, especially for strategic games, but nothing stops you from trying fun variations to test your own ideas.

Why We’re Bringing HoMM: The Card Game to TTS

We know that supporting a campaign is a big decision. That’s why it was important for us to give you the chance to experience the game first-hand, even before the first backer pledge. With TTS, you can see how the mechanics flow and decide if the game is right for you.
It also helps us: by watching the community play, reading your comments, and listening to your feedback, we can fine-tune the experience further. We always read all of your comments, so make sure to leave some on our social media channels, Discord, or Gamefound updates!

First Taste of Gameplay

So what can you expect right after starting up TTS and loading our game? Right now, the TTS version lets you try out the Necropolis and Castle starter factions. Each brings a full roster of iconic units straight from the Heroes of Might and Magic universe:
Necropolis: Skeleton, Walking Dead, Wight, Vampire, Lich, Black Knight, Bone Dragon
Castle: Pikeman, Archer, Griffin, Swordsman, Monk, Cavalier, Angel

Even with just these two factions, every match is different, dynamic, and completely adjustable to your playstyle. And this is only the beginning…we’re planning to add more factions to TTS in the future, too!

How to Get Started

To make it easier for you, here’s how to quickly pick up Heroes of Might and Magic: The Card Game in the Tabletop Simulator:
1. Download Tabletop Simulator on Steam.
2. Subscribe to our Heroes of Might and Magic: The Card Game mod via the Steam Workshop.
3. Launch TTS, load the mod, and you’re ready to play!
4. Invite friends online or practice solo to explore the mechanics and strategies behind the game.

Alongside HoMM: TCG, you’ll also find our other games on TTS such as Master of Orion: Ad Astra and soon World of Tanks: The Card Game available for free to try out!
